Unior 1670/2BI Cassette Removal Wrench Description:
The 1670/2BI Cassette Removal Wrench was designed to provide a faster alternative to a chain whip for holding cassettes in place during the removal of the cassette. Instead of fumbling with a traditional chain whip and trying to wrap a loose section of chain over the cassette cogs, the head on the Cassette Removal Wrench features pins with anti-slip ridges that fit into the teeth on one of the small cogs on the cassette, and then a cassette lockring removal tool fits through the hole in the head of this wrench to engage the cassette lockring to loosen and remove it. The ease of use and speed advantage that this tool has over a traditional chain whip make this tool a great addition to a ride support kit, for a bike shop, or a home mechanic that fixes up their friends bikes regularly. Finally, this wrench comes in three varieties to match up with most common cassettes on the market.
Features:
- Hardened and tempered tool steel construction will hold up to years of use and abuse
- 350mm long handle with an ergonomic grip provides plenty of leverage, a secure grip, and comfort when tackling the removal of stubborn cassettes
- Pins have anti-slip ridges at the outer edges to keep tool engaged with cog, especially under heavy torque
- 11/12t version is designed to lock into 11 tooth or 12 tooth small cassette cogs. 12 tooth side has longer pins to reach past 10 tooth cassette cog on Shimano and SRAM MTB cassettes and engage with the 12 tooth cog, or the second cog from the end of the cassette
- 13/14t version designed to fit on 13 tooth or 14 tooth cassette cogs, such as the ones found on junior road bikes
- SRAM X-Range version has specially oriented pins to better mesh with the SRAM AXS X-Range series of cassettes with a 10 tooth cassette cog
