Ritchey Pro Snap-On Rim Strip (26") (20mm)

I just bought this, so I don't know how well it works, or how long it lasts. May be fine.

But there is one obvious problem: The strip has two distinct sides. One side has the logo, and the two sides have different textures. You can install it with the logo side contacting the rim, or with the logo side contacting the inner tube.

But which way is right?

The product comes with no instructions to tell the user. The Ritchey website manuals provide no hint as to which way the product should be installed. Nashbar support staff don't know.

To their credit, Ritchey has phone number that someone actually answers, and they told me which way it goes.

But why not just put the marking on the product? Have the side with the printed logo say "this side contacts rim" or "this side contacts inner tube?" Why not put it in their product manual?

It just seemed such a waste of time to have to have dig for this information, which could easily have been provided with the product.
