OneUp Components EDC Threadless Carrier Description:
If you want to install a OneUp Components EDC V2 Tool on your bike but don't want to tap threads inside of the aluminum fork steerer tubes, then the OneUp Components EDC Threadless Carrier will fit inside of the steerer tube and create a secure mount for the tool. The EDC Threadless Carrier is crafted out of aluminum alloy to keep the weight down while also keeping the durability high, and as an added bonus OneUp has anodized these carriers in several attractive colors to make it easier to personalize the look of a bike. Once it has been confirmed this carrier will fit the fork, installation is as simple as removing any existing star nut(s) with the included star nut remover bolt and washer, slip the carrier inside the fork, and then securing everything with one of the included bolts and the lower cap. Once the carrier is secured, then install the EDC Tool through the opening in the top of the carrier, and then get ready to go for a ride.
Notes: This product is designed to hold the EDC V2 Tool with the small EDC storage capsule installed; it is not compatible with the EDC V2 Tool and a threaded CO2 cartridge or the EDC V2 Tool with the large EDC storage capsule installed. - Multiple length bolts allow this threadless carrier to fit into many aluminum fork steerer tubes, including tapered and select 1 1/8" straight steerer tubes

Fit Compatibility Notes
- For installation in aluminum fork steerer tubes only; OneUp Components does not recommend installing this carrier inside of a carbon fiber steerer tube due to potential fitment issues and the possibility of damage to the carbon fiber
- This carrier and lower cap are designed to fit inside of a tapered steerer tube, but can be fit inside of a 1 1/8" straight steerer tube, as long as these requirements are met:
- Make sure length of steerer tube meets the minimum length requirement (see below)
- The inside diameter is a minimum of 24.25mm in diameter, and the inside of the steerer tube does not become narrower (or "neck down"). You can check this by running a straight edge down & against the internal wall of your steerer. If it deflects then the steerer tube necks and the Threadless Carrier is not compatible.
- A 1 1/8" top cap that will fit flush into the bottom of the fork is required as the lower cap that comes with the carrier will not fit
- If the 1 1/8" top cap that came with the fork or bike does not fit flush with the bottom of the fork, either go to a local bike shop to see if they have one that will fit or otherwise source a replacement top cap that fits into the fork
- The following forks have special fitment requirements:
- Fox Forks (excluding Fox Factory/Perf. Elite 38 forks) need a minimum steerer length of 190mm
- Fox Factory/Performance Elite 38 Forks need a minimum steerer length of 245mm
- RockShox Forks need a minimum steerer length of 220mm
- All other compatible forks need a minimum steerer length of 190mm; regardless of fork, max steerer tube length for supplied mounting hardware is 265mm
