The Surly Wednesday Fat Tire Mountain Bike Frameset was designed to help a rider to build up a trail bike with an adventuresome soul. At the heart of this versatile frameset is Surly's full chromoly frame and fork with a suspension corrected geometry that makes this bike at home on all kinds of trails. Included touches like stealth dropper post routing, oversized 44mm headtube, and thru axles front and rear make it easy to add personal touches to this bike to adapt it to the trails near you. Or, if this bike is going to be used as an adventure or backpacking rig the frame and fork include a wide variety of braze-ons and mounts that will allow for all kinds of on bike storage solutions so you can haul the gear you need to get to your destination. - 100% Surly Chromoly steel frame and fork are incredibly rugged and will take the edge off of trail vibrations for a smoother ride
- Oversized 44mm headtube of frame is reinforced to handle stresses of a suspension fork, and will accept suspension forks with up to 100mm of travel
- Included rigid full chromoly fork has a suspension corrected geometry so bike will handle similarly whether a suspension fork is or is not installed
- Frame utilizes external cable routing (except for the internal, or stealth, dropper post cable routing) for easy shifter cable and brake cable housing or hydraulic hose replacement
- Rear triangle of frame is spaced for a 12 x 177mm thru-axle (included with frameset), but will accept a 10 x 170mm rear hub/wheel with Surly 10/12 Adapter Washers (sold separately)
- Horizontal rear drop-outs with integrated derailleur hanger allow bike to be set up for either a single speed or multi-speed drivetrain
- Threaded 100mm bottom bracket shell for better chainline with wide rear hubs, chain ring clearance with chainstays, easy maintenance, and creak free pedaling
- Multiple braze-on mounts for front and rear racks, three-pack mounts, front and rear fenders, and bottle cages
- Clearance for up to 26 x 4.6" tires on 80mm wide rim in the frame when wheel is slid into the full-rearward position
