The Surly Grappler (formerly known as the Ghost Grappler) is engineered first and foremost around a stable and comfortable drop-bar hand position, with its trail-ready frame geometry providing a spirited ride on single track, double track, gravel roads, and anything in between. Cleared for girthy tires and decorated with an array of mounts for hauling your daily provisions and overnight gear, the Grappler is ready to take you and your paraphernalia down that overgrown fire road into the unknown for an extrasensory experience. There’s nothing to be afraid of. Probably.

- 100% Chromoly steel frame and fork with a double-butted front triangle and down tube gussets for added strength
- Surly Gnot-Boost spacing allowing riders to run 142mm or boost 148mm rear hubs
- Custom horizontal slotted dropouts ready to run single-speed or internally geared hub set-ups
- Seattube bottle bosses (on sizes S - XL), plus three-pack mounts at the top and bottom of the down tube
- Full complement of rack and fender mounts on both the rear triangle of the frame and on the fork
- Additional mounts on both fork blades for low-rider racks, to carry extra hydration, or other accessories
- Stealth dropper post routing on seattube allows any dropper seatpost currently available to fit this frameset
- TranzX shifter-activated dropper post for stable and confident hand position in rough terrain
- E.D. coated frame and fork to prevent rust and for increased life expectancy
- 27.5" x 2.8” or 29" x 2.2" tire clearance (without fenders) or 27.5" x 2.6” or 29" x 2.0" tire clearance (with fenders)
