Great pedal. Lighter than my other pedals which look the same. Easy in and out. I can use my SPD's so walking or hiking is not a problem.

Shimano PD-ES600 SPD Clipless Pedals (Dark Grey)
I replaced my 10 year old PDA-600 pedals with these. TheES600's are very nice looking and smooth, and I like the smaller size than the PDA's. I hesitated in getting these based on reviews that the lack of weight on the back of the pedal prevents them from engaging cleat side up after a stop. This is true, and that's why I only give them 4 stars. However, the PDA-600's didn't always present themselves cleat side up either, and I only find these pedals slightly worse. This should improve as the bearings loosen up with use. If you are like me and are sold on recessed cleats for a road bike then there aren't a whole lot of choices out there. This is a good pedal and it fills that gap, but you may not always clip in it on the first shot. If you can live with that then this is a good pedal.
