Shimano Altus FC-M311 Crankset Description:

The Shimano Altus FC-M311 Crankset is a budget friendly crankset for mountain bikes and urban/commuter bikes. These cranks feature a low profile aluminum crank arm that will bolt onto a square taper bottom bracket for easy installation, light weight, and good stiffness. The steel chainrings feature shift ramps and pins to help the chain shift easier between the gears, and this crankset is compatible with 7 and 8 speed Shimano derailleurs, chain, and cassettes. Whether you are replacing a worn out crankset or upgrading your bike, these cranks will offer great value and get your bike back up and running like new.

Features:

  • Optimized to work with 7 and 8 speed Shimano mountain bike chains, derailleurs, and rear cassettes/freewheels
  • Aluminum crank arms for lighter weight and better stiffness
  • Riveted steel chainrings with built in shift ramps and shifting pins for rigidity, strength, and better shifting
  • Recommended to use a square taper bottom bracket with a 122-123mm wide bottom bracket spindle; width may vary depending on bicycle frame
  • Crankset will come with both crank arms
