Race Face ERA Wheels Description:

The Race Face ERA wheel is the result of the relentless pursuit for a mountain bike wheel with minimal compromises in weight, strength, compliance, and overall ride quality. The asymmetric front and rear specific rim profiles feature the Anvil Edge beadwall, offset spoke nipple bed, and differential rim depths to optimize each rim for the unique demands of the front and rear wheels. The Race Face Vault hubs have oversized hub shells, large diameter bearings with low drag labyrinth seals, and a freehub with 3 degree's of engagement for a set of hubs that are light, quick engaging, laterally rigid, and easily serviceable when the time comes. Tying everything together is 28 straight pull and butted spokes for further weight reduction and a livelier, more forgiving feel vs. straight gauge spokes with a j-bend at the hub.

• Front and rear wheel specific rim profiles (18.6mm front rim depth, 22.6mm rear rim depth) optimize compliance and overall ride dynamics for each wheel
• Asymmetric rim cross-section with an offset nipple bed help to balance spoke tension between the drive side and non-drive side spokes, which improves the overall strength, durability and longevity of the wheel.
• Anvil Edge bead wall of the rim disperses impacts over a flatter, broader area which reduces the chance of pinching and damaging the tires
• 60-tooth drive ring with six pawls and two teeth per pawl along with a lightweight spring rate provide a near instantaneous 3 degrees of engagement and very low drag when not pedaling
• Oversized hub shells, wide bearing spacing, and large diameter bearings with low drag labyrinth seals create light, rugged, laterally rigid, and fast rolling hubs that are able to be serviced as needed
• Wheels come with tubeless tape and tubeless valves pre-installed from the factory
• Hubs accept 6-bolt disc rotors
