Tubeless Setup:
- Verify that your wheels are "tubeless-ready" and tubeless rim tape is already installed.
- If your rims are tubeless-compatible but don't have tubeless rim tape, you will need to retape them.
- Usually, you will want to choose tubeless tape that is slightly wider than your rim's measured inner width (Example: 21mm tape for 19mm inner width rims).
- Install tubeless valves
- Ensure that there a tight fit between the rubber base of the valve and the rim tape.
- Snuggly hand-tighten the nut
- Install tires
- Take care not to damage the tire bead if using a tire lever.
- Message the tire around the rim to move slack to the last and most challenging section.
- Remove Presta valve cores using the valve core removal tool on the valve cap.
- Add sealant using the Orange Seal Injection System.
- Tube fits over the end of the Presta valve
- Use 2oz of sealant per tire (8oz bottle is enough for 4 tires).
- Reinstall valve cores
- Inflate quick using an air compressor or high-volume floor pump.
- If tires don't seat, you can remove valve cores for better airflow.
- Move wheels around to ensure that the sealant can move about the chamber and stanch any small leaks.
Tubeless Maintenance:
- Top off sealant every 2-3 months (sometimes requires more in hot weather)
- Use the Dynaplug Racer Pro to plug small-to-medium size punctures (larger punctures may require a boot and an inner tube) - See the Racer Pro in action.
- Replace tires when the tire wear indicator (small indentation in the tread) is no longer visible
