OneUp Components Clip Pedals Description:
The OneUp Components Clip Pedals are built to be durable enough to tackle aggressive mountain bike riding while maintaining a low profile and light weight. The large platform aluminum pedal body includes 4 hollow pins on each side to provide a wide contact area, phenomenal grip, excellent power transfer, and stability for the feet and knees. Thanks to the thin 14.4mm body (26.8mm at the binding mechanism), these larger pedals still provide excellent ground clearance to prevent pedal strikes on rocks and other trail obstacles. When it is time to clip in, the stainless steel binding mechanism features a unique profile that reduces the amount of free play that is found in other similar pedal designs, while still providing a healthy amount of float that will allow the feet and legs to comfortably align with each other. This binding mechanism also features a highly adjustable spring tension so the entry into and retention strength can be fine-tuned to a riders experience level and preferences, and the binding mechanism has a shallow release angle that makes getting out of these pedals a breeze. Add in stiff and tough chromoly axles, sealed outer bearings, and the ability to use either OneUp Components clipless pedal cleats or the easy to find Shimano SPD cleats, and the result is a set of incredibly tough pedals that will keep your feet happy and connected for a long time. Notes: The included OneUp cleats require a cycling shoe with a 2-bolt, or SPD style, mounting interface, which is most commonly used in shoes designed for mountain biking, gravel bike riding, and urban/casual riding. - Chromoly steel pedal spindle and 3 outboard sealed cartridge bearings minimize bearing play and improve overall durability of the pedal
