Louis Garneau Women's Modesto 3 Cycling Jacket has a  combination of a wind- and water-resistant main body material and highly breathable paneling under the arms means it's more than enough jacket to see most cyclists through from November to March. It does sacrifice a bit of breathability compared to LG's more expensive models, but pound for pound it's virtually impossible to beat the Modesto 3's value in foul weather. As with its predecessors, the Modesto 3 is also cut more generously than those more expensive options, so it can accommodate insulating sublayers to keep you riding in the depths of winter. A less flattering fit is a small price to pay for a jacket that'll keep you off the indoor trainer and out on the road for longer.

Features:

  • Brave the conditions from fall to spring in this cycling jacket
  • Main body constructed with weather-resistant paneling
  • Supplemented with mesh inserts to boost breathability
  • Standard fit leaves space for thermal layering
  • Spacious rear pocket zips closed to protect accessories
  • Zipper garage eliminates contact between zipper and throat
  • Storm flap reinforces zipper against the weather
  • Reflective details help keep you visible on cold, overcast days

Louis Garneau Women's Modesto 3 Cycling Jacket (Bright Yellow) (2XL)
My normal size is a 1X but I know cycling gear fits snug so I ordered up a size. This jacket still fits very snug and rides up in the back. It suits the purpose of providing protection from the chill and wind but runs small.

Measurement Guide:

  1. Bust- Take measurement of the circumference around the fullest part of the chest while arms are relaxed at sides
  2. Waist- Measure the circumference of the waist at the natural crease of the waist while keeping tape measure a bit loose (finding natural waist crease can be easily found by bending over to one side)
  3. Hips- Standing with feet together, measure the circumference around the fullest part of the hips at the top of the legs

Jersey Measurement Notes:

  • Keep tape measure level and not too tight
  • For most accurate results, take measurements over underwear or close fitting apparel
  • Take measurements twice with a flexible tape measure to ensure accuracy
