Campagnolo EKAR GT Cassette Description:
The 13 speed Campagnolo EKAR GT cassettes offer a versatile and broad gear range that makes it easier than ever to switch from a traditional 2x drivetrain setup over to a lighter weight and simpler 1x drivetrain. These cassettes feature a unique mix of materials and construction techniques throughout the gear range to add necessary stiffness and strength while keeping the overall weight down, and carefully positioned shift ramps combined with a narrow distance between each sprocket result in positive, quiet, and rapid shifts throughout the gear range. The 6 smallest cassette sprockets feature minor increases in size from one to the next which makes it easier to find a comfortable pedaling cadence when cruising at higher rates of speed, and then the jumps in sprocket sizes get progressively larger over the remaining sprockets to provide the gearing needed to handle the weight of a bike loaded up with the gear for an epic bike ride, to make it easier to tackle technical and highly varied terrain, and to make flying up inclines a breeze. Finally, Campagnolo is producing these cassettes in three different sizes to provide the exact gearing needed to ensure your legs have the support they need to take on any racing or casual biking adventure.
Notes: 10-48t cassette is NOT compatible with the previous generation of EKAR rear derailleurs; it is only compatible with EKAR GT rear derailleurs.
Features:
- The 9-tooth and 10-tooth cassette sprockets make it possible to use a smaller chainring on the crankset for improved clearance over trail obstacles, while still allowing for a more comfortable pedaling cadence at higher bike speeds
- Narrow distance between sprockets make it easier to fit 13 speeds onto a freehub and due to the chain having to go a shorter distance between sprockets, shifting is quicker and more precise
- Shift ramps are carefully placed on each sprocket to facilitate smoother up and down shifts
- 5 largest cogs and 3 smallest cogs are crafted out of a single block of metal and the 5 middle sprockets are individually crafted out of 7075 series aluminum for lighter weight, durability, and optimal shifting performance
- Smaller jumps between the 6 smaller cassette sprockets make it easier to find a comfortable pedaling cadence when cruising at higher rates of speed
- Larger jumps over the remaining cassette sprockets provide extra gearing flexibility for tackling technical terrain or steep inclines
- 9-42T version is ideal for riders that prefer tighter jumps between gears, for riders sticking to trails and/or roads with less elevation changes, and for riders that are mostly riding hardpack trails and pavement
- 10-44T and 10-48t cassette offer an expanded gear range that is great for gravel bike riding over varied and technical terrain as well as for those whom load up their bikes with camping gear and other essentials for epic cycling adventures
- Compatible with the Campagnolo N3W freehub driver body allow these cassettes to be used on a wide variety of wheelsets currently on the market, including offerings from DTSwiss, Fulcrum, HED, Hunt, Zipp, and more
